[July 8 Event] “Drone Soccer and New Possibilities in Education—A Completely New Universal Extreme Sport Combining Drones and Soccer!”

Next week's Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium will focus on drone soccer and education.

Drone Soccer® is a sport that originated in South Korea. It is a cutting-edge, strategic team sport played 5-on-5 using a specialized drone ball encased in a spherical plastic frame. Players compete to score points by guiding the drone ball through ring-shaped goals suspended above both sides of the field inside a designated cage.It is gaining attention as a highly inclusive sport that allows everyone—from children to adults, regardless of age or gender—to enjoy playing together on the same field.

In recent years, there has been growing anticipation for the use of drones in education, particularly in the context of STEAM education through drone operation, collaborative learning through team strategy, and integration with ICT and programming education.

At this symposium, we will welcome experts from the Japan Drone Soccer Federation, who will discuss the appeal and educational value of drone soccer, as well as initiatives to promote its adoption, using specific implementation examples.

We hope you'll join us.
