Cirque du Soleil’s “Michael Jackson ONE”

Three consecutive Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas.

First up is “Michael Jackson ONE.” This is my first time seeing it.

It feels different from the Cirque du Soleil shows I've seen so far.

With a setlist centered on hit songs, it feels just like a live concert, and

In the sense that the music drives the drama, it also has elements of a musical.

Furthermore, the spatial design—in which LEDs and lasers surround the audience—offers an experience similar to the immersive nature of club culture.

A display that envelops the entire venue, rapidly changing visuals, and a performance where the human body and digital elements are precisely synchronized.

Scenes such as the one where Michael Jackson’s image was projected onto water droplets to make him appear to float in space, or the one where his apparition appeared like a hologram, were moments when technology brought his presence to life across time.

Also, I really like how the use of silhouettes alone is so typical of Cirque du Soleil.

From the body as the center to performances driven by digital space and music.

Even though it was the same Cirque du Soleil, I enjoyed a completely different experience.
