- [Report] 198th Session, Part 1: “What’s Important Is Not the Transfer of Knowledge, but Teachers and Learners Transforming Themselves by Bringing Their Knowledge Together”
On November 25, 2025, the Learning of Tomorrow Association hosted an online symposium titled “Reflecting on Education from an Anthropological Perspective in the Age of AI: Tim Ingold’s ‘Commoning,’” featuring Professor Katsumi Okuno of the School of Intercultural Communication at Rikkyo University.
In the first half of the symposium, Mr. Okuno gave a lecture on social anthropologist Tim Ingold’s theories on education, and in the second half, a question-and-answer session was held, incorporating questions from the audience.
Here’s a look at the first half.
