- Lecture by Performance Artist Mr. Stelarc
When I returned to the office in Takeshiba, a lecture by Mr. Stelarc—a performance artist who has been using technology to augment and alter his own body since the 1970s—had already begun.
Recently, we met with Brave Group, which has established a system for jointly nurturing fans and IPs through its virtual talent business—including VTubers—as well asPlott, which has established a model for mass-producing and expanding IPs through short animations based on fan data; and Azuki, which is creating a cultural ecosystem where fans own a portion of the IP via NFTs and participate in shaping the story—all of whom started from outside the traditional media landscape and are now leveraging social media, YouTube,Web3, and VTubers—a lineup of rising stars who have set out from outside the traditional media landscape to cultivate IP on these new content-creation platforms.
I’ve come to realize once again how great it is to have a space where you can listen to talks by industry leaders just by sitting at your desk at the office, and I’m planning to design it so that it becomes an even more appealing place once Chomorrow is over.
First, I need to open a snack bar.
