Neurodiversity

Museum of Illusions

Since there’s a Museum of Illusions in Manchester, too, I decided to visit it for the first time in a while.

That’s because, for the first section of the neurodiversity project “The World in Our Minds,” I want to create an exhibit featuring illusions involving the five senses. I think interactive displays that let visitors experience visual illusions and perceptual discrepancies firsthand are a great way to help them intuitively understand the diverse ways of perceiving the world that exist within neurodiversity!

When I took another look at the exhibits at the Museum of Illusions with that perspective in mind, I found them full of ingenious ways to learn while enjoying the mysteries created by the brain, and I gained many insights that will serve as a reference for “The World in Our Minds.”
