: “Let’s Make Handmade Soap Using Herbs from Our Garden—
Let’s Find Fragrant Leaves and Flowers.”

What happened to the seeds I planted in April?
The cilantro, kochia, and taro have sprouted, so I watered
them. The cotton didn't sprout, so I'm going to try sowing the seeds again!
Let's
all continue to take care of them and watch
how they grow.
In the rooftop garden, I collect herbs and flowers.
What kinds of scents do herbs have? What kind of scents do I like?
I touched and smelled them to find my favorite herbs.
Once we got back to the room, it was finally time to make soap!
We poured in some hot water scented with herbs and kneaded the soap mixture… It was a
little challenging at times—the
soap was hard, and it was tricky to get it out of the molds—but
in the end, we wrapped them up and took them home!
I wonder what it smells like? Give the soap a try while enjoying the
herbal scent.
The next event is
on Saturday, June 28: “Let’s Learn About Honeybees in the Garden—Plant Plants That Attract Honeybees and Try Your Hand at Extracting Honey.”

After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
