■ Announcement Regarding the Online Symposium　

[April 23: “Turning Differences into Resources” — Kamiyato Tottoku Preschool’s Initiatives for an Inclusive Society
]

　Kamiyato Totsu-Otsu Daycare Center is located in Atsugi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a daycare center that practices inclusive education, including the integrated operation
of the “Kamiyato Totsu-Otsu Cultural Classroom,” a day service program for children with disabilities
, within the facility.
　Based on the concept of “focusing on the ‘protrusions’ that everyone has and working together to fill
in the ‘indentations’ that everyone has,” it serves as a place
where children from ages 0 to 18—regardless of age, developmental stage, race, or nationality
—live and learn together.Mr. Takuya Baba, Chairman of the Aikawa
Shunju-kai Social Welfare Corporation, which operates the Kamiyato Totsu-Otsu Nursery School, gave a lecture
on the school’s unique features
