- [Press Release] “The World in Our Minds 2025: Neurodiversity” Set for November 2 (Sun) and 3 (Mon, Holiday)! [Now Accepting Exhibitors and Sponsors]

B Lab (Director: Nanako Ishido) will host the exhibition “The World in Our Minds 2025: Neurodiversity” on Sunday, November 2, and Monday, November 3, 2025 (a national holiday), as part of its Neurodiversity Project activities.
The human brain and nervous system are incredibly diverse, and each of us has our own unique characteristics. This is known as “neurodiversity.” Through hands-on experiences, this exhibition conveys the message that by respecting individual characteristics and creating appropriate environments, we can alleviate the “difficulties of daily life” and transform personal traits into “strengths.”
This project transcends organizational boundaries and is being advanced in collaboration with universities, companies, research institutes, and organizations. Through this exhibition, we aim to convey that it is possible to realize a neurodiverse society where everyone can reach their full potential, and we are working toward the creation of such a society.

About the Exhibition
In this exhibition, we refer to the world in which each of us lives as the “Brain World.” Based on the idea that the Brain World is shaped by the interaction between the “individual” and
the “environment,” this exhibition aims to foster an understanding
of neurodiversity as visitors explore the following five areas.

About the Neurodiversity Project
"To build a society where every individual can realize their full potential."
Neurodiversity is a concept rooted in the diversity of our brains and nervous systems, and it applies to all of us.
Because of these individual characteristics, people may sometimes feel that “life is difficult.” However, this “difficulty in living” is not caused solely by individual characteristics. It arises from the interaction between an individual’s characteristics and their physical and social environment. By respecting these individual characteristics and creating an appropriate environment, we can alleviate this “difficulty in living” and transform an individual’s characteristics into “strengths.”
We aim to build a society where everyone can live more comfortably and each individual can fully realize their potential by using technology to supplement and enhance individual brain function and physical capabilities, and by redesigning the environment—including physical spaces, social institutions, and customs—from a diversity and inclusion (D&I) perspective.
Promoting neurodiversity can bring out new creativity in everyone and contribute to the development of society as a whole.

Overview of B Lab
"B Lab," an acronym for "Beyond, Borderless, Breakthrough,"
is a participatory platform that—
though it bears the name "laboratory"—connects universities, research institutes, communities, and talent from around the world to fuse the unique skills and insights of many people, thereby creating
new technologies, services, content, businesses, and societies. While its scope is broad—encompassing technology development, solving social issues, and creating new services—the
common thread is social implementation and collective creation. Everyone—fathers, mothers, grandmothers, and children
—is a researcher. We become “Lifelong Seekers” and carry a second “researcher” business card.
Social, open, and participatory, we aim to connect everyone—including users—to build a new society. By matching
challenges, ideas, technologies, funding, skills, and people, we strive to create an exciting future together, from small-scale innovations to large-scale
creations.
