- Report on the 19th Data Working Group Meeting

Overview
We held the 19th Data Working Group meeting.
Date and Time: Friday, February 7, 2025, 2:00–3:00 p.m.
*Online; held jointly with the Copyright Working Group*
Contents
Discussions focused on both copyright management and data distribution, using the Learning e-Portal as a starting point.
(Discussion Points)
• Regarding the role of digital textbooks in the e-learning portal, the government should present a clear vision and explore feasible methods for collaboration with the private sector.
• Since the definition of educational data is broad, discussions should proceed from both the perspective of the significance of digital utilization and its practical implementation in the field.
・A system should be developed that takes data portability into account, enabling learners to manage their own data. ・The direction for data utilization should be explored while creating
concrete use cases. ・We will consolidate our
recommendations into three key areas: “Laws,” “Standards,” and “Solutions.”
・Starting with the next meeting, we will compile these recommendations, build consensus at the conference, and explore concrete measures.
