KMD and Kaiyo Town Launch Comprehensive Partnership Agreement

Re: KMD Comprehensive Agreement with Kaiyo Town.

A group from KMD—consisting of two faculty members and six students from PoliPro (led by me) and Concordia (led by Donna)—traveled to Kaiyo Town.

At KMD, each faculty member is responsible for leading a Real Project, but going forward, we will be strengthening collaboration among these projects. With that in mind, Donna and I have taken the lead and launched a joint initiative focused on regional revitalization.

This time, I attended the signing ceremony for the comprehensive agreement between Kaiyo Town and KMD, led a generative AI workshop at the library aimed at improving residents’ AI literacy, organized a “Superhuman Sports” event connecting multiple locations to increase the town’s “related population,” and conducted a generative AI class at an elementary school before returning to Tokyo.

Superhuman Sports connected Kaiyo Town and Takeshiba, and in Takeshiba, people with physical disabilities also participated. It was also a challenge to create a sport that embraces both physical and geographic diversity.

It was a hectic two days, including preparations for the event, but since there were many students visiting Kaiyo Town for the first time, we stopped by Todoroki Falls, had some seafood rice bowls, and headed home.
