[Report] Part 1 of the 173rd Session: “Education That Transforms Schools from ‘Places That Consume Knowledge’ to ‘Places That Produce Knowledge’”

On November 27, 2024, the Learning of Tomorrow Association hosted an online symposium titled “The Wild Spirit of Learning We Need Now: Insights from 20 Years of Inquiry-Based Learning,” featuring Mr. Kanji Miyaji, President and CEO of Education and Inquiry Co., Ltd., which operates the inquiry-based learning program “Quest Education.”

In the first half of the symposium, Mr. Miyaji gave a presentation on the initiatives of Education and Exploration Co., Ltd., including “Quest Education”—a program currently taken by more than 100,000 middle and high school students at 500 schools across 42 prefectures nationwide. The second half featured a question-and-answer session that incorporated questions from the audience.

Here’s a look at the first half.
