- [Announcement] “The Wild Spirit of Learning We Need Now: Insights from 20 Years of Inquiry-Based Learning”
For the online symposium on Wednesday, November 27, we will be welcoming Mr. Kanji Miyaji, President and CEO of Education and Inquiry Co., Ltd.
Since its founding in 2004, Kyōiku to Tansaku-sha is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The company operates “Quest Education,” Japan’s largest inquiry-based learning program, which is currently taken by 88,000 middle and high school students at 440 schools across 42 prefectures nationwide.
With the goal of fostering the qualities and abilities needed to reflect on one’s own way of life, “Comprehensive Inquiry Time” became a required course in high schools starting in the 2022 academic year, and “inquiry-based admissions” are beginning to be introduced for college entrance exams as well.
Mr. Miyaji, who has spent many years developing and delivering inquiry-based programs, will give a talk titled “The Wild Spirit of Learning We Need Now: Insights from 20 Years of Inquiry-Based Learning.” We hope you will join us.
