A wind chime that produces a cool, soothing sound.
The subject is a flower from Arc. I challenged myself to do a drawing that involved really “looking” at the subject. While the process of looking
closely and drawing is the same, it doesn’t mean drawing every single detail.

They observe the flower for 5 seconds and draw only what they see during that time. A part of a
petal, a part of a leaf, the stem as seen from below… flowing,
wavy lines and slightly mysterious shapes.
Each child’s own unique view of the flower’s world comes to life on the page.

I hope that when you hang a wind chime and hear its sound, it will remind you of the time you first tried your hand at drawing.

The next GREENWORKSHOP will be held on Saturday, September 28: “Let’s Learn About Traditional Japanese Festivals”
"Let's Go Find Ark's Seven Autumn Herbs." Stay tuned! 🎑
