Effective Measures for Realizing the Utilization of Educational Data

・Ms. Megumi Inaba, Assistant Director of the Office for the Promotion of Education DX at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, provided an explanation regarding “Effective Measures for Realizing the Utilization of Educational Data (Summary of Discussions)” (March Reiwa 6, Expert Panel on the Utilization of Educational Data).

・Following the presentation, experts offered their comments. A discussion was held on the future use of data.

The following are the main opinions:

・We should identify the gap between the medium- and long-term vision outlined in the Roadmap for the Utilization of Educational Data (January 7, Reiwa 4; Digital Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) and the current reality, and hold discussions to clarify specific future measures.

・Case studies on best practices for the use of educational data should be conducted and disseminated.

・From the perspective of users (government agencies, schools, teachers, etc.), we should effectively promote public-private partnerships to advance educational digital transformation.
