“The 1st Docomo Future Lab” Final Judging Session

Final Judging Session for the “1st Docomo Future Lab” Programming Contest. We judged the presentations by the 15 finalists selected from 1,195 entries, alongside Atsugiri Jason, Fujiyo Ishiguro of Netyear, Mariko Nishimura of HEART CATCH, Yasunori Harada of Biscuit, and Hiroki Kuriyama, Executive Vice President of Docomo.

I’ve been involved in various programming contests as an organizer or judge, but I felt that this contest featured more unique entries born of free-thinking creativity than ever before. Perhaps it was because “vision for the future” was one of the judging criteria.

I hear there were even participants from Malaysia. Global right from the start! That’s Docomo for you.

Not only were the children’s creativity, expressiveness, and potential for the future truly outstanding, but the conversations with the judges in the green room were also incredibly inspiring—it was a wonderful day that really recharged my energy.

Congratulations, everyone!!!
