New B Lab Glasgow Office Opens

B Lab, which conducts research on learning design in higher education, has opened a new office in Glasgow, UK!

We are establishing B Lab Glasgow in the United Kingdom. To innovate university teaching methods, we will focus on interdisciplinary learning design and advance research that spans different academic fields. We will launch new initiatives to enhance students’ learning experiences by comprehensively utilizing various communication methods and learning tools. As the first phase of these activities, we will promote learning through “comics” in three fields: business and management, psychology, and medicine.B Lab Glasgow is led by Professor Dennis Fischbach-Smith (Professor of Risk and Resilience at the University of Glasgow) and includes colleagues from other universities in the UK and Europe who are interested in transformative learning design.

It was at the end of November last year that Professor Dennis kindly paid me a visit simply because he had cited my writing in his paper. From there, our conversation really took off, and that’s how our Glasgow office came to be.

I'll be visiting soon!
