Launch of the “Human Capital Entrepreneurship” Project

Although I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather, which caused a delay in this announcement, B Lab is launching a “Human Capital Entrepreneurship” project aimed at achieving sustainable corporate growth through employee development.

"Human Capital Entrepreneurship" is a new concept that involves "viewing the attitudes of people involved in entrepreneurship and the connections they foster as capital, and creating organizations that adapt to change and continue to evolve by maximizing the value of these elements."Since 2022, “Human Capital Management” has garnered significant attention in Japan, driving the need for a major transformation in work styles and corporate culture. Taking into account globalization, rapid industrial innovation, and challenges unique to Japan, this project promotes the concept of “hyper-creativity,” which is not constrained by age or experience.In particular, it aims to respect entrepreneurial spirit and provide deep insights to future business leaders. As concrete activities, we will proceed with initiatives such as raising awareness and promoting “Human Capital Entrepreneurship” through workshops and other events, as well as providing mentorship to students and companies.

As the first phase of the project, we will hold a workshop on December 7. Project members will lead the workshop, providing participants with an opportunity to view “human capital entrepreneurship” as something that directly pertains to them. We aim to offer future business leaders—including students and working professionals—an opportunity to take their careers to the next level. We sincerely look forward to welcoming anyone interested in our activities to join us.

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
