[September 20 Event] “Benesse’s AI Initiatives: Enhancing Children’s Problem-Solving Skills”

We took a break for about three weeks, but the Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium will resume tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s topic is the generative AI service for elementary school students that Benesse launched for a limited time during summer vacation. We’ll be joined by Kazunari Matoba, Executive Officer at Benesse Corporation and General Manager of the Elementary School Business Division, Extracurricular Learning Company.

The company states that it undertook this development because it wants children—who will shape the future—to have early exposure to generative AI in a safe and secure environment and to apply it to their learning.

While advances in AI technology have improved convenience, there are also concerns that they may lead to a decline in critical thinking skills. Amid cautious discussions regarding the use of generative AI by children in the field of education, we will hear about the background behind the launch of a generative AI service for elementary school students and its future direction.

We’ve already reached our capacity of 500 participants, but since there may be some cancellations, we’re accepting a few more applications.

We hope you'll join us.
