[Video] “Implementing Inclusive Education: What We Can Do in Regular Classrooms Right Now”

On June 7, 2023, Learning of Tomorrow hosted an online symposium featuring Shingo Aoyama, Associate Professor in the Department of Child Studies, Faculty of Human Life Sciences, at Notre Dame Seishin Women’s University, and Director of the Center for Inclusive Education Research.

In the first half of the symposium, Mr. Aoyama explained the definition of “inclusive education” and then proposed initiatives that can be implemented in regular classrooms to achieve it. Drawing on numerous examples from schools that are already implementing such initiatives, he outlined the direction that “inclusive education” in Japan should take.

In the second half, we held a Q&A session that incorporated questions from the audience.

We have also published the report.
