- Ushiku Daibutsu
The Ushiku Daibutsu.
Its total height is 120 meters, symbolizing the twelve rays of light emanating from Amida Buddha. It is the world’s tallest standing bronze statue.
Its ears are 10 meters long, and its index finger is 7 meters long.
The Great Buddha of Nara could fit in the palm of its hand, and it’s three times the size of the Statue of Liberty.
When you stand right in front of it, it’s even bigger than you could ever imagine!
Once inside the statue, you’ll find a unique and fantastical space filled with light—one you’d never expect to find inside a giant Buddha statue.
When you go up to the next floor, about 3,400 Buddha statues carved into the walls shine brightly.
I chose the special limited-edition double-page goshuin stamp. ^^
