On Saturday, July 22, we held an event titled “Let’s Make Plant-Based Paint and Write Letters: Let’s Try Writing Words and Drawing Pictures with the Beautiful Colors from Plants” 🎨
After taking care of the cotton in everyone’s garden in the Main Garden, we set out to find plants that can be used as paint ingredients!
To make one color, you need a small cup full of lots and lots of flower petals. To make sure we don’t pick too many flowers, we’ve agreed that each person can pick up to three colors.
While looking very carefully to decide which color and which flowers to choose, I gently gather the flowers.
"I tried using the three primary colors!" "I found a rare purple flower!"
After returning to the room, we'll grind the plants we collected in a mortar to make paint.
Trial and error with the amount of water and the number of plants…
We spent two jam-packed hours drawing pictures and writing words with the paint we made, enjoying the natural hues of plants, and drinking mysterious tea that changes color!
The next GREENWORKSHOP will be held on August 26: “~‘Gifts from the Garden’: Let’s Look at Plants Through the Eyes of the Heart~ Let’s Make Bottle Lights Using Plants from Ark.” *We’ll be welcoming lighting designer Yasuhito Genma as our special guest. Stay tuned! 💡
