- [July 26] “The Use of AI in Education”
This week’s Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium continues the theme of AI and Education. We’re pleased to welcome Professor Koichi Hashida from the University of Tokyo. He’s actually a classmate of Professor Matsubara, who spoke at our last event. What an amazing class!!!

At the Learning of Tomorrow Data Working Group meeting held the other day, Professor Hashida and I had a lively discussion about whether personal agents (AI tutors) might eventually take on the role of education in the future.
The use of AI is accelerating across various fields. In the field of education as well, discussions are underway regarding how AI should be utilized, as risks are becoming apparent alongside its benefits.
What direction should education take? What values and significance will be expected of education—including public education—in the future?
Professor Hashida, an internationally renowned AI researcher, will give a talk titled “The Use of AI in Education.” We hope you will join us.
