- [June 14] “Education and Well-being: The Study of Happiness”
This week’s Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium focuses on “Education × Well-being.” We are pleased to welcome Professor Maeno from Keio SDM, a leading expert in the science of happiness.
"The science of happiness" refers to the study of the mechanisms by which people experience happiness from the perspectives of psychology and statistics. Since 2012, the United Nations has been releasing the "World Happiness Report," and there has been a great deal of interest in the topic of "happiness."
A key concept in the science of happiness is “well-being.” Well-being refers not only to physical health but also to a state of mental and social well-being.
We will hear from Professor Maeno, who conducts research on the science of happiness with a focus on education and well-being, about how to promote well-being in school education moving forward.
We hope you'll join us.
