- CANVAS Workshop @ Takeshiba
CANVAS Workshop @ the Office.
About 10 years after we started our activities, the kids who had participated began to become college students or working professionals, and we started receiving messages from them saying they wanted to join us as facilitators. Then, just the other day, we heard that a participant in the CANVAS Programming Lab had been admitted to iU and would be coming to CANVAS as an intern.
There was also a college student who, although he had gone on to medical school at his parents’ request, simply couldn’t forget the video experience he’d had with CANVAS when he was young—so he flew two hours just to come see me for a life consultation.
It’s hard to express this in terms of short-term, quantifiable results, but if it had some kind of positive impact at a deeper, more fundamental level of life, that would make me happy.
Next to the workshop room, I engaged in a frank exchange of views about KMD with Professors Inakage, Sunahara, Keiko, and Minamizawa of KMD (*^^*)
It’s a great part of KMD’s culture that, even as we speak our minds freely and discuss our ideals, we always end up finding practical solutions—and that we always make a point of eating delicious food.
In the end, the discussion branched off from the topic of ChatGPT to ask for advice on Keio University’s organizational structure!
