- [Announcement] “Implementing Inclusive Education: What We Can Do in Regular Classrooms Right Now”
For the online symposium on Wednesday, June 7, we are pleased to welcome Shingo Aoyama, Associate Professor in the Department of Child Studies, Faculty of Human Life Sciences, at Notre Dame Seishin Women’s University, and Director of the Center for Inclusive Education Research.
In modern society, there is a growing need to realize a society of mutual coexistence where people can recognize and accept one another’s diversity. The essence of inclusive education is an educational approach for all children, based on the fundamental premise that everyone is different.
How can we balance the creation of personalized, optimal learning experiences for each individual with the goal of having a diverse group of students learn together? Mr. Aoyama, a researcher in inclusive education, will discuss the characteristics and challenges of this approach, using real-life examples. We hope you will join us.
