[Recommendation] Promoting the Use of AI in Education

Learning of Tomorrow has issued a proposal to promote the use of AI in education.

I was determined to come up with three topics that ChatGPT wouldn’t suggest, but when actually writing the text, I did refer to ChatGPT’s suggestions.

AI is about co-creation, not competition (*^^*)

With the launch of the GIGA School initiative in 2020, a learning environment was established in which every elementary and middle school student has their own device. Education has entered a new digital phase.

AI technology is also entering a new phase. With the 2020 announcement of GPT-3, the potential of AI and its range of applications have expanded, and some observers have pointed out that the Singularity is fast approaching.

In the future, AI will be used in every field and will become increasingly important. It will be essential for everyone to develop AI literacy. Understanding AI and acquiring related skills will be indispensable for future careers.

Learning of Tomorrow aims to promote the use of AI in educational settings. We believe that incorporating AI into all aspects of education—including classes, teaching materials, and exams—will lead to more efficient and higher-quality education.

1. Use AI in all classes.

By incorporating AI into all classes, we can expect students to improve their AI literacy while also ensuring that higher-quality instruction is provided. By enhancing training and educational programs for teachers to facilitate the use of AI in all classes, teachers who are familiar with AI will be able to instruct students, making it possible to build a new educational system.

2. Promote the introduction of entrance exams that utilize AI.

Introducing college entrance exams that rely on the use of AI will directly lead to improved AI literacy and more comprehensive education on AI usage. This, however, requires that entrance exams incorporating the use of ICT—such as computers and the internet—become firmly established.

Furthermore, when introducing entrance exams that rely on the use of AI, it is important to give due consideration to security measures and privacy protection to ensure the fairness of the exams and the protection of applicants’ personal information.

3. Develop AI textbooks and teaching materials.

AI-powered educational materials and textbooks can significantly improve students’ learning abilities. AI enables customization to suit individual learning styles and allows for the creation of learning content that captures students’ interest. Additionally, AI provides accurate and rapid feedback, which enhances students’ learning outcomes.

By promoting the development of AI-powered educational materials and textbooks, we can enhance students' learning outcomes and raise the standard of education in classrooms.

That's all.
