- Virtual New Year’s Party
The slowest digital New Year's party around. Last year, due to COVID-19, our New Year's party was held out of season at the end of June, but I'm glad we were able to hold it in February this year!
Thank you to everyone who participated! (*^^*)
Here are the results of our annual "Top 10 Digital News Stories"! They were determined by 27,000 votes.
MIXI President Kimura’s comment was titled “The Top 10 News Stories from a Human Perspective.” All the while, I can’t help but think that next year’s news might be dominated by stories driven by AI.
Ryūichi Seto, a member of the House of Representatives who has been supporting me for the past 20 years, also came to see me, but I’d love to meet him in Kagawa next time ^^
Finally, our Digital New Year’s Party came to a successful close with the traditional “Big Bang” wrap-up by my mentor, Yoichiro Kawaguchi, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo, who finds Earth too confining and is making his mark in space. Let’s meet again next year at the Digital New Year’s Party! 😊
The photo shows me with Professor Emeritus Yuki Aoyama of the University of Tokyo, who has consistently supported me, and Ichiya Nakamura, President of iU. Also pictured are Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Member Nobuko Irie and Professor Yoichiro Kawaguchi, who are working tirelessly to introduce metaverse education.
