Draw an acorn that looks exactly like the real thing.

Make an exact replica of an acorn.

Even before this workshop started, everyone was already obsessed with acorns?!

👧 “I brought some acorns!”

👦 “I picked up some acorns at ○○ Park.”

Even adults,

👩 “I found some acorns.”

And there were lots of acorns at the venue, too…

■Do you know about acorns?!

Pick up one of your favorite acorns, and

It begins with a story about acorns.

Have you ever seen an acorn flower?

This is where the acorns get their nutrients from their mother tree!

This is the belly button of an acorn.

So, is this a hat? Or are they pants?

Apparently, the official term for it is "kakuto."

■ Draw away! ⇔ Erase with a kneaded eraser!

Drawing acorns with art supplies I don't usually use.

I carefully select colors from the autumn color palette and draw acorns.

Using a kneaded eraser, I erased some parts and tapped lightly on the belly button area, and

Drawing my favorite acorn.

■Let's Make Acorn Erasers!

When I put a hat on the eraser that had a pinecone color on it,

The acorn modeling clay is ready!

I want it to look more realistic!

As I kneaded the modeling clay, I looked at the acorns, and—

A period of trial and error as I try to turn a modeling eraser into an acorn.

■Which One Is the Fake?

"Which one looks more real?"

As we work on them, we start showing them to each other.

If you make the real thing look like a fake,

Won't this just make it even harder to tell which one is real!?

Clack-clack♪ I want to capture the sound inside an acorn.

My desire to create keeps growing.

The difference between playdough acorns and real acorns is

They carefully took it home in a collection box.

My curiosity expanded thanks to the research institute, and I began to naturally pay attention to the things around me in my daily life,

Next year, be sure to watch the process of how acorns develop from acorn flowers.

And if you find anything, please let me know.

So, the painting program for December 2022 is “Dance on the Horizon.”

What kind of story will begin? Shall we start one?

I look forward to seeing you all 👋
