(In cooperation with Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.)
An animation in which objects that don't usually move begin to move as if they were alive.
While learning how to create anime and the techniques involved, breathe life into your creations with your own hands…
Let's try making an animation using movement and sound!
I wonder what kind of anime will be created? Maybe the way we view anime will change in the future?
This time, we'll be producing an anime over the course of two days.
~Day 1~
Move the Crumpled Character… Creating an Animation
The word "animation" comes from a Latin word meaning "soul."
The thing you all breathed life into this time was…
A character named "Kushakusha-san" that was born from paper.
Once you've created your "Crumpled" character, keeping in mind aspects of its identity, such as its personality,
This time, we filmed an animation of Kushakusha exploring the research lab.
We'll work together as a team to film this.
Where should we take the photos?
What does Kusyakusha-san do?
How should I move it?
We'll try moving "Crumpled-Up-san" while discussing it as a team.
Letting them walk on top of a bucket, or
Build a Path and Play Tag
A water bottle flag for mountain climbing!?
Using what’s right there to create images or make associations…
All sorts of things come from your imagination—
The stage gradually transformed into a place for Kusyakusha to explore!
~Day 2~
Music Production with #Picotones
Using the toio™ (#toio) robot toy—which lets kids learn while playing—
We'll even compose music together with "Let's Play with Music: Pico Tones™"!
After working together as a team to create the anime, we each came up with our own theme song for it.
What's the vibe of "Everyone's Anime"? What's it like?
What's the rhythm like? What about the melody? What kind of sounds go well with it?
Some teams of elementary school students even divided up the tasks to compose a piece of music together.
To wrap things up, we'll have an animation screening where family members can join in too!
Each team stepped forward and gave an interview, feeling a little nervous.
The music that each of us created will play during the anime we all made together.
This anime has no dialogue, and explanations are kept to a minimum.
I expressed it through movement, facial expressions, setting, and music.
So, each viewer can enjoy it in their own way, based on their own imagination.
I wonder what everyone imagined…?
The screening event ended on a high note, with everyone looking satisfied and the atmosphere full of joy!
When you watch anime from now on, what aspects do you think you’ll be paying attention to?
