[Report] ~Let’s Make Tanabata Decorations~ Learning About Traditional Japanese Festivals, Part 1

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, we held the event “Let’s Make Tanabata Decorations: Learning About Traditional Japanese Festivals, Part 1.”

Let's start by tending to the main garden.

I transplanted the morning glories I planted in May into a planter and watered them!

We also observed the cotton sprouts we planted in the star-shaped garden.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll grow from here on out.

After we get back to the classroom, we'll make Tanabata decorations!

Tanabata decorations take the form of various wishes, such as for health, food, and wealth.

Let’s all work together to make lots of decorations and adorn the bamboo branches, each one filled with our wishes.

Finally, we wrote our wishes on strips of paper with all our hearts and hung them on the bamboo branches.

May everyone's wishes come true☆

The next GREENWORKSHOP will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022.

~Rub-Dyeing Workshop~

Let's gather plants in Ark's garden and try rub-dyeing with the leaves we picked.

That's it. Stay tuned!

*We are pleased to welcome Mago, a Nature Game instructor, as our special guest.
