- [May 11] “The Potential of Games for Play and Learning”
Tomorrow's "Learning of Tomorrow" online symposium will feature Mr. Toru Fujimoto, Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo.
While children’s play environments have changed significantly over the years, the world of digital games is also expanding to offer learning opportunities that encourage children’s independent activities and foster seeds of interest. Research findings from around the world have shown that “games bring out children’s abilities,” and games serve as an excellent tool for trial and error while maintaining motivation.
Professor Fujimoto is a leading expert in Japan on “game-based learning,” which uses games to enhance learning outcomes. Professor Fujimoto, who states that “non-cognitive skills—which cannot be measured by traditional school grades—can also be developed through games,” will deliver a talk titled “The Potential of Games for Play and Learning.” We hope you will join us.
