Inter-academic Entrepreneur School Startup Program (IESSP)

We've launched the Inter-academic Entrepreneur School Startup Program (IESSP)!

IESSP is a program that enables you to start a business even if you have no prior knowledge or experience. It’s a community where aspiring entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs from across the country come together to learn from one another and work toward launching their own businesses.

Program participants can take courses—developed by experts in various fields, such as entrepreneurs and venture capitalists—free of charge through a hybrid format combining in-person and online sessions. This allows them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge necessary for starting a business.Afterward, participants who wish to do so may submit their business ideas to a panel of judges for evaluation. If an idea shows real potential for becoming a startup, participants can refine it through mentoring sessions with a mentor. On the final day, participants will pitch their business ideas to VCs and judges with the goal of securing funding.

As of the time of this release, more than 15 universities are participating, and we have received inquiries from a variety of universities.

We will collaborate with educational institutions nationwide to provide entrepreneurship education and support!

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
