First General Meeting of 2022 of the Bipartisan Parliamentary Group on Education and ICT.

I'll be joining online while on the go—sorry about that!

As the hardware infrastructure continues to take shape, the discussion has turned to the development of the software infrastructure.

Based on reports from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; and the Digital Agency,

I reported on the recommendations issued by Learning of Tomorrow to the Digital Agency.

Ten initiatives, including the use of educational data and the development of a digital textbook platform.

Although this is addressed to the Digital Agency, we hope for a unified response from the entire government.

From Senator Michihiro Ishibashi, the Secretary-General,

It was stated that a forum would be established at the next parliamentary group meeting to discuss this proposal.

I really appreciate it.

As Chairman Toshiaki Endo mentioned in his remarks, we hope that, through the GIGA School Initiative, education in Japan will move on to the next stage.
