[Tomorrow] “Developing Digital Talent and the Next Steps”

The online symposium will feature a presentation by Koji Machida of Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting (hereinafter “DTC”) on the theme of “Developing Digital Talent.”

Developing talent for the digital age has become a critical national issue. The Learning of Tomorrow Association believes that society demands a platform capable of increasing the absolute number of digital professionals, identifying the needs of local businesses, and supplying the appropriate talent. Accordingly, we have established the “Meta University Working Group” to conduct concrete studies toward building such a platform.First, we discussed the definition of digital talent and the roles and skills required for each digital profession in promoting digital transformation (DX), and we compiled and submitted an interim report to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). In December, METI launched the “Digital Skills Standards Study Group” to begin investigating and deliberating on the digital skills standards that business professionals should possess.I am participating in these discussions as the chairperson. Mr. Machida of DTC, who serves as the secretariat for these discussions and has leveraged the expertise cultivated over the Deloitte Tohmatsu Group’s 50-year history to develop globally competitive professionals, will speak on the topic “Digital Talent Development and the Next Step.” We hope you will join us.
