We held the “Feel the Melody, Create a Melody” (Preschool Class) event in Takeshiba!

This time, let's feel the melody… and create a melody??

What are some musical instruments that everyone knows?

Piano, castanets, taiko drums, melodica…

I'm not going to use any instruments today~

What everyone uses is… “Picotons”

? …I wonder what it's like…?

Let's play with music together with the Pico Tones today!

Does that mean the PicoTones can play music??

I wonder how you do that? Give it a try~

Oh! I heard a sound!

There are all kinds of sounds.

I discovered something that sounds like a human voice!

You can even hear the sound of a fart… lol

Let's Try Playing a Rhythm~

What is rhythm?

It's like "tan-ta-ta-tan!" or something like that, right?

Oh, right!

There are so many different elements to music, aren't there?

PicoTones also come in a variety of scales. You can play melodies with them, too.

"The Frog's Song" was performed just like that…

I know that frog song!

So, how does this sound to you?

I'll try playing "The Frog's Song" with a darker tone…

It feels like… the frog is gone!

I see! That’s right!

I discovered that even the same song sounds different when you change the scale!

Finally, let’s try playing the PicoTones in pairs and on our own. Even if we’re just making random sounds, let’s try playing together as a duo!

It's funny how saying that makes me perk up a little.

A team that divides responsibilities between rhythm and melody

A team where everyone plays however they like…

The concert concludes with a group performance by everyone.
