- [Announcement] “The World’s Longest Road: The History of Educational Innovation on Sesame Street and Its Future”
We will be welcoming Mr. Manabu Nagaoka, Representative of Sesame Workshop Japan, to our online symposium on Wednesday, January 12.
Sesame Street began in the United States in 1969 with the goal of providing high-quality education to all children in an equitable and fair manner.Over the past half-century, Sesame Street has expanded to provide content in more than 150 countries and has consistently driven social innovation by developing research-based content tailored to the needs of each era and region—including HIV/AIDS education, refugee support, and girls’ education. And now, as “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)” are being championed around the world, Sesame Street is exploring even newer approaches, such as applying blockchain concepts to the classroom.
Mr. Nagaoka, our representative, will give a talk titled “The World’s Longest Road: The History of Educational Innovation on Sesame Street and Its Future.” We look forward to seeing you there.
