#Now Hiring Kid Researchers Sunday, Dec. 5: “A Museum Just for Kids” at Galax City

The “Museum Just for Kids” is a little different from other Kids Creative Institutes. We provide about 70 different types of materials, a variety of tools, and 90 minutes of time. It’s entirely up to the children to decide how to use the materials, tools, and time. They think things through carefully and try making something. After they’ve made something, they think about it some more.They spend the full 90 minutes creating, trying out all sorts of things as they go.

With everyone’s cooperation—including wearing masks, washing hands, and using alcohol-based hand sanitizer—we will hold the event while thoroughly implementing infection prevention measures, such as limiting the number of participants and ensuring proper ventilation.

Date and Time: Sunday, December 5, 1:00 PM–2:30 PM (Only the afternoon class will be held due to a STEAM workshop in the morning)
Venue: Galaxy City (Nishi-Arai)
Participants: Preschoolers (ages 4 and up) through 6th graders (mixed group of preschoolers and elementary school students)
Capacity: Approximately 10 participants

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
