Platinum Grand Prize Final Judging & Awards Ceremony

The Platinum Grand Prize Final Judging Session & Awards Ceremony, led by Hiroshi Komiyama, former president of the University of Tokyo. This year, the presenters also took the stage online.

I'll be participating as a judge again this time. It's even been in the news, hasn't it?

Congratulations to the Hokkaido University COI Center in Iwamizawa City and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Ltd., on being selected for the Grand Prize!

Many judges commented that the overall standard had risen, making it extremely difficult to narrow the selection down to just two, but

Still, it's interesting that when you take a closer look, the results tend to be consistent even though the judges come from a wide variety of fields.

It's hard to say which was better, but I suppose it really did stand out a cut above the rest.

Although they narrowly missed winning the Grand Prize, the projects I personally would like to visit, try out, or learn more about are:

Hayabusa Lab in Yazu Town, Tottori Prefecture, is working to shape the future of rural communities by repurposing a closed school to create a community complex.

The town of Koumi in Nagano Prefecture is establishing workation spaces that incorporate mental health programs, thereby boosting productivity while contributing to regional revitalization.

iflink has developed a kit that makes it easy to create IoT services, enabling anyone to come up with and collaboratively create solutions to problems using IoT.

DokoCare matches people who have difficulty going out with caregivers to support everyone’s freedom to go out.

I'll give it a shot.

It has also been announced that the Platinum Initiative Network, which was previously a voluntary organization, will become a general incorporated association starting next fiscal year, marking its 10th anniversary.

Congratulations to you, too! (*^^*)
