#Kids Researcher's Log: Sunday, September 26 #Online #Workshop

We held a workshop titled “How Things Move × Things You Have at Home = A Robot!?”

https://www.canvas.ws/kenkyujo/report/20210926%EF%BC%BFonline.php

This week’s “Haten” question is, “What kinds of mechanisms are involved in movement?”

Robots that might be right in our midst.

There must be some mechanism that makes robots move!

The mechanism behind this robot's movement is a "vibration motor."

When the robot moves, watch it closely.

What kind of movement? Jerky? Smooth?? Or maybe…??

How can I create a variety of movements…??

Once your practice robot starts moving, try combining its movement mechanism with items you have at home!

Sponges, milk cartons, Chipstar boxes, large boxes, balloons…

All sorts of everyday objects have transformed into robots that move in mysterious ways!

Robots, of course, and any moving objects around us must have some kind of mechanism that makes them move.

If you find something that catches your eye, be sure to check out how it works!

The next Secret Base event is on Sunday, October 24.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all again!
