At the Learning of Tomorrow Online Symposium the day after tomorrow, Professor Mari Oshima from the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology and the Institute of Industrial Science at the University of Tokyo will give a talk titled “New Ways of Learning Through STEAM.”
Dr. Mari Oshima, who served as the first female president of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers and is a leading expert in bio- and microfluidics engineering.Professor Oshima, who expresses her hope that STEAM education can foster both individuals who create new knowledge and those who can transform that knowledge for the benefit of society to generate social value, will discuss the future challenges and direction of STEAM education.
Please be sure to join us. Professor Oshima, LOVE!
By the way, Professor Oshima, I didn’t realize you were the first woman to serve as president of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers!
During my senior year of college, I received the Hatakeyama Award from the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers. What exactly was this award? I looked it up just now, and it turns out that “one graduate per department (or one from each department if there are two or more) who has excelled in both character and academic achievement among graduates of four-year university mechanical engineering programs is honored each year; this practice began with the class of 1960.” So it’s actually a prize with quite a long history.I was presented with a thick technical textbook (*^^*). It’s a bit late, but thank you very much.
