#Kids Researcher's Log: Sunday, August 1

We held a “Kids-Only Museum” event! Here’s a little peek at what happened!

—Ships and UFOs

First a UFO, then a big ship

Some of them contain a matchstick, and when you tilt them, they make a sound.

Finally, a launch pad is added, and the two creations combine!

That's a big piece—it might get crushed in the bag, so please take good care of it on your way home.

—A Small Garden

A uniquely shaped box that fits in the palm of your hand.

Once you've put the contents inside, cut some matchsticks to make the top part,

I carefully attach them one by one using a glue gun.

All the materials—from pencil scraps to yarn—require small, meticulous work.

That was some amazing focus.

The next "Kids-Only Museum" event will be held on Sunday, September 5.

I can't wait to see what kinds of encounters and ideas the kids come up with!

* “The Children’s Museum” is held once a month as a one-time workshop.
