NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council

NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. Since the chairperson was absent, I was asked to serve as the moderator. It’s one of those duties the vice chairperson gets to do every once in a while (*^^*)

Since I was a regular on “Tokudane!” for about five years, I watched Tomoaki Ogura’s “Professional: The Art of Work.”

Looking back, I, too, had been swayed by the image I’d seen on TV, and I went into my first day of filming worrying, “What if Ms. Ogura is a scary person?” In reality, she is a sensitive, humble, and incredibly kind person.

I used to love the Rainbow Bridge in the morning, too. On my last day of filming, as I crossed the Rainbow Bridge, I found myself reminiscing about my final day in Boston—when, just as I did every day, I’d ride my bike across the Longfellow Bridge over the Charles River, lost in my own thoughts.

Well then, at the Broadcasting Council meeting, I commented on the “decline in TV viewership” highlighted by the NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute’s Survey on People’s Daily Activities, the online format of the 2021 Technical Research Institute Open House, and mental health care in light of the OECD’s international survey.

The 2021 Giken Open Online Event runs through the end of June! I think it would be better not to limit it to a specific time frame and to promote it more widely.
