Overview:

As part of the events accompanying the currently ongoing “BnF × DNP Museum Lab 2nd Exhibition: Cultural Experiences of the Future,” we will hold an online symposium to discuss cultural experiences utilizing cutting-edge VR technology, as well as the potential applications and challenges of such technology in the cultural and educational fields.

Dr. Takushi Narumi (Associate Professor, Graduate School of the University of Tokyo), an expert in VR technology, and Professor Nanako Ishido (Keio University), a leading figure in the education sector. Using the “Highlights Walk”—an exhibition feature utilizing cutting-edge VR technology currently on display—as an example, they will join DNP’s development team in exploring the future of cultural experiences and educational applications while engaging in interactive dialogue with our audience.

This content is highly recommended for those working in local governments and cultural institutions who are engaged in the preservation and utilization of cultural resources, those in the field of school education who are exploring the use of ICT, and those responsible for outreach activities with an eye toward educational applications.
