KMD Kicks Off the New Fiscal Year in Earnest

The new fiscal year is now in full swing at KMD, and classes have begun.

This semester, I'm teaching two courses: "Social Creation" and "Policy," both of which will continue to be held online.

"Social Creation" includes many international students who haven’t been able to enter the country, as well as participants from the RCA in London and Pratt in New York; most of them don’t know each other and are saying, “Nice to meet you online!”However, when I had the students take charge of facilitating the final class-wide discussion, I was amazed to see them using Miro to silently post one idea after another, vote on them on their own, and wrap up the discussion in the blink of an eye. Their online communication skills have improved since last year! That’s incredible. Could this be the new communication and discussion skills for the coming era?!!!

For the first session of “Policy,” we held a discussion on “What Should Universities Look Like in the Post-COVID Era?” as a sort of icebreaker. Even though it was a short session, we came up with lots of great ideas, so let’s all work together to build the “Meta University”! (*^^*)
