[Report] March 7: “A Museum Just for Kids”

On March 7, we held the “Kids-Only Museum” event!

Here's a little glimpse of what it's like

　

—Shimmering, transparent paper

A shimmering, colorful, translucent material that looks like vinyl.

It's really pretty, but I wonder how I should use it?

It looks so pretty when you pour it into a cup! It looks like you can use it for drawing, too ✎

Even with the same material, you can discover different ways to use it.

　

—Make a lot? Or take your time?

A child who searches for materials with single-minded determination to create what they want,

A child who chooses a material that catches their interest and then thinks it over carefully.

Taking your time to really engage with a single piece, or

Or creating one work after another.

I enjoyed my own special time “creating.”

　

The next "Kids-Only Museum" event will be held on Sunday, April 4.

I can't wait to see what kinds of encounters and ideas the kids will come up with!

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
