[Announcement] “Preparing for ‘What-If’ Disasters with VR/AR: The Role and Potential of IT in Disaster Prevention”

Learning of Tomorrow Online Lunch Symposium. March features the VR × Education series.

Tomorrow, we will be joined by Professor Tomoki Itamiya of Kanagawa Dental University to discuss “Preparing for ‘What-If’ Disasters with VR/AR: The Role and Potential of IT in Disaster Prevention.”

In Japan, a country prone to natural disasters, promoting disaster prevention education has become a major social issue. By experiencing disasters such as floods, fires, and earthquakes through VR and AR, people can truly grasp the risks involved as if they were happening to them personally, which can serve as a catalyst for taking concrete preventive measures.

Professor Itamiya, who developed the AR disaster simulation app “Disaster Scope®” and the “VR Tsunami Driving Simulator,” will speak about their educational benefits and future prospects. We hope you’ll join us.
