The Kids Creative Lab has been a huge hit! Together with our young researchers, we’ll use devices they’ve built themselves to search for sounds, make “spinning banana” string art… How will everyone’s discoveries and flashes of inspiration spread throughout the lab?

Kids Creative Lab in Takeshiba (December–January)

キッズクリエイティブ研究所in竹芝 (12-1月)

The Kids Creative Lab has been a huge hit! At our new Takeshiba location, we’ll join our young researchers in singing, shouting, and feeling the music, or imagining fruits that no one has ever seen before… I wonder how everyone’s discoveries and flashes of inspiration will spread throughout the lab? We’re pleased to welcome singer-songwriter Merlion and artist Ikuko Matsuo as guest instructors.

The Kids Creative Institute’s online series, “Secret Hideout at Home,” has been very well-received. The setting for “Secret Hideout at Home” is wherever you are right now. You’ll create things using everyday items, move your body, and conduct experiments. Our goal is to enrich and transform everyone’s daily lives through these workshops and through your own “exploration.” In December, we’ll hold two science sessions (Dec. 13 and Dec. 27), and in January, two arts and crafts sessions (Jan. 17 and Jan. 31).

A Museum Just for Kids—Exhibition of Objects, Materials, and Tools—

こどもだけのミュージアム‐もの・素材・道具展‐

Children are artists. Using the various materials and tools displayed at the “Museum Just for Kids,” they create freely. Artworks, objects before they become artworks, the flow of time, and the movements that emerge—these are the essence of this museum. What will you encounter today? What will you be able to do…?No matter how many times you visit, this is a space for play and learning that always sparks that sense of excitement. We are now accepting registrations for one-time sessions on January 10 (Sun) and February 7 (Sun)! *We are implementing thorough COVID-19 prevention measures, such as limiting capacity to about half of the usual number.
