Keidanren × Learning of Tomorrow: “Toward Realizing Learning That Paves the Way for the With/Post-COVID Era.”

In September, the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) released “Urgent Recommendations to the New Cabinet for Promoting EdTech,” proposing measures that should be implemented immediately to improve the infrastructure—including hardware, software, and educational personnel—so that all public elementary, middle, and high schools can begin utilizing EdTech within the next year.

Similarly, the Learning of Tomorrow Association also released its “Statement on Promoting Post-COVID-19 Education” and made recommendations on three key areas: “improving online learning environments in schools and at home,” “implementing hybrid education that combines online and in-person learning,” and “pioneering future-oriented education.”

As the spread of the novel coronavirus becomes increasingly serious, there is a need to update our educational systems in order to realize a new era of learning.

Therefore, in collaboration with Keidanren, we will host representatives from three ministries—the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology; the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry—to discuss the theme “Toward Realizing Learning That Paves the Way for the With/Post-COVID Era.”

Since this seems to be the last symposium of the year, I’m looking forward to seeing everyone online (*^^*)
