At Shizuoka Seiko Gakuin Junior and Senior High School, following a transition from fully online classes and staggered attendance due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, nearly all students are now attending school in person. However, there are still students who, for reasons such as living outside the prefecture, are unable to attend school even if they wish to.In light of this, the school launched the “Classroom of the Future” project to transform the classroom environment, driven by the desire to ensure that students attending classes online from home can participate in lessons and activities at the same level as teachers and students in the physical classroom.

He believes that this classroom project holds potential that goes beyond existing classroom activities—not only in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, but also in situations where commuting to work or school is difficult due to natural disasters, for students who are unable to attend school regularly due to school refusal, and for interactions with overseas partners, companies, and other schools.

We will be introducing the new Japanese educational model that you are about to undertake. We hope you will join us.
