Kids Creative Lab Online Series #20: “Secret Hideout at Home: Art & Craft—September”! We’ll engage in art and craft activities by making things and conducting experiments using items found around the house!

On Sunday, September 27, we’ll be holding “Make Your Own Playing Cards and Play a Game!” (Program provided by the Fukasawa Art Institute). Let’s try playing Memory using the playing cards (♤, ♡, ♧, ♢) you’ve carefully drawn yourself. (Will the kids make the cards and the adults guess which ones they are?)

・Preschool Class 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

・Elementary School Classes: ① 1:30–2:30 p.m. ② 3:00–4:00 p.m.

*The trial class will be held only on Sunday, September 13, for the session titled “Roll the Dice + ◯◯?”

This time, we’ll send you a kit with all the materials you need ahead of time! What kind of playing cards should we make? Wait, what patterns do playing cards have again? How many cards are there? …It’d be great if we could chat about things like that, too♪

    After graduating from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo, he served as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab before founding the NPO CANVAS and the Learning of Tomorrow Association, a General Incorporated Association, and assuming the role of representative. He serves as an outside director for Matsuya Co., Ltd., Fuji Media Holdings, Inc., and Digital Garage, Inc.
    He has served on various government committees, including the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, as well as the NHK Central Broadcasting Program Council. He also serves as a director of the Digital Signage Consortium, among other roles. He holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Media.
    His publications include *Turning On Children’s Creativity!*, *What Are Smart Kids Doing on Their Smartphones?*, *The Forefront of Online Education in Japan: Considering Learning in the Post-COVID Era*,“What Is Programming Education? 45 Questions Parents Want to Know,” and “Declaration on Digital Education.” He has also provided supervision for numerous works, including “Ah, I See! Programming Education for Parents and Children Through Manga.”
